Dominique Valente is fairly certain she has that disease where you grow younger the older you get, as the closest she got to being a grown-up was during a brief glitch in her twenties and early thirties as a journalist. Thankfully, she came to her senses and and now spends most of her days in her pyjamas, dreaming about grumpy monsters, quirky dragons, and magic.

Born in South Africa with one arm, Starfell is in many ways a love-letter to anyone who has ever felt different or that they didn’t fit in. She lives now in Suffolk with her husband and her snore-monster English bulldog, Fudge.
